Millions of COVID-19 vaccine doses are nearing expiration
Across the country, states are sitting on a surplus of COVID-19 vaccine doses. Unfortunately, the expiration dates for those doses are fast approaching. Dr. Samuel Botros discusses the issue:
Despite the rising infection rates in states throughout America, millions of vaccine doses are sitting away… unused and nearing expiration. A retired member of the Arkansas Air National Guard, who has led the state’s vaccine distribution program, expressed that states are “drowning” in surplus vaccines. Unfortunately, this is the case, because too many individuals are uncertain about whether or not they’d like to receive the vaccine at all.
Dr. Samuel Botros reminds his patients, as well as the general public, that the COVID-19 vaccine is safe, effective and the only way to put an end to this global pandemic. If you have not received your vaccination yet, please reconsider — or reach out to your primary care physician for clarifying information.
